Work has begun to improve the Town and Country Trail in Ross-on-Wye.

A grant from Herefordshire Council has enabled the work to be done, which includes sorting out the muddy sections and the broken fencing along the entire route. This follows numerous complaints from residents about the terrible state of the trail.

Cllr Paul Symonds said: “After over a year of haranguing everyone I could at Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beauty, with support from the Town Council we got a grant from Herefordshire Council to deal with all the muddy sections and broken fences along the whole route.”
