Upcoming road closures for A40 from Hildersley towards Weston under Penyard

The A40 from Hildersley towards Weston under Penyard will be closed for a number of days during July for surface dressing works.
The closures will be in force between 9.30am and 3.30pm on 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th and 21st July.
The work will take place in three stages:
1. Preparation works: Works will be taking place from Tuesday 5th July 2022 to (and including) Wednesday 6th July 2022. The road will be closed between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
2. Surface dressing: Works will be taking place from Tuesday 12th July 2022 to (and including) Friday 15th July 2022. The road will be closed between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
3. Lining and cats eyes: Works will be taking place from Wednesday 20th July 2022 to (and including) Thursday 21st July 2022. The road will be closed between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
The fully signed diversion route is via the A40 Gloucester / A417 Ledbury / A449 Ross-on- Wye / A40 and vice versa.
There will be access for residents and businesses. In a letter Balfour Beatty said: “We will do all we can to assist with access, although there may be periods of time when access to homes, businesses or other premises will not be possible or there may be delays. You can get help and guidance from the designated marshals who are on site. The emergency services will have access at all times.”
