Highways England will be conducting resurfacing of the A449 and A40 from the Travellers Rest roundabout to the A40 Wilton roundabout from 7th September to 21st October, Monday to Friday 8pm-6am.

The work has been identified following the deterioration of the carriageway. The work will also include the repainting of road markings, replacing the road studs and repairing the damaged drainage gullies.

Highways England said: “To minimise disruption to our customers, the work will be delivered in phases. Please refer to the signs at the side of the road for further information, including closures and diversions. Alternatively, information can be found on our website ar highwaysengland.co.uk/roads

“Our planned road works may be subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. We’ll notify you by using the black and yellow signs at the side of the road should there be any change to the programme.”
