Ross Health and Fitness is ready to welcome you back
It has been a tough 2020 for Ross Health and Fitness. Back in February they were hit badly by the flooding, the first time in 25 years that flood water had entered the entire building.
A major clean up operation ensued, which involved members of the gym and community, but just three weeks later they were forced to close due to coronavirus pandemic.
During the long months of the forced closure it has given them time to conduct a fabulous refurbishment of the building.
Now they have finally been given the go-ahead to reopen on Saturday 25th July, and they cannot wait to welcome people back.
Stringent measures have been put in place to ensure safety, in line with the Government guidelines. Social distancing markings have been placed around the gym, as well as hand sanitisers and cleaning equipment. Masks are optional, however you must take your own towels. You also need to book your gym slot online by visiting https://www.rosshealthandfitness.com/ or emailing rosshealthandfitness1@gmail.com
Some online zoom classes will be continuing for those who are not ready to come back to the gym just yet but want to keep fit and healthy. More details can be found on the website.
An open day was held on Saturday 18th July, to provide an opportunity for people to see the refurbishment and to start booking in their gym slots. The open day was attended by Ross-on-Wye Mayor, Cllr Daniel Lister, who was pleased to see this well-loved business getting back on its feet.
Caroline Ward, who co-owns Ross Health and Fitness with her daughter Danie, told Ross-on-line: “I want to thank everyone, gym members and those within the community, who have showed us such wonderful support and loyalty. A huge thank you to our landlord, Simon Porter, who has been hugely supportive to us throughout. It has been a tough year so far, but we cannot wait to welcome people back and to help them keep fit and healthy.”
