The organisers of Olliefest have issued an update regarding this year’s festival, which is due to take place on the August Bank Holiday.

They said: “We, Olliefest 2020, are continuing to closely monitor the COVID 19 situation and are exploring several options regarding the event this summer. All of our team are working tirelessly to prepare for a variety of scenarios come August Bank Holiday Weekend.

“We want to provide fans with the amazing experience only Olliefest can offer, whilst ensuring the safety of our amazing fans, our incredible artists and the Olliefest team along with our volunteers. We are continuing to closely follow government guidelines, and are seeking expert advice, as the lockdown is lifted. We urge our fans to continue to follow regulations in this period. We are aware other August Bank Holiday festivals have been cancelled. However, this is due to the much larger builds of sites and hiring of equipment rather than the expected state of the virus, come the end of August. We have a very close relationship with our amazing build team who will be able to put the site together in a much quicker time frame.

“Olliefest is, and has always been, committed to offering our incredible fans and their families an unforgettable experience, rest assured we are taking all possible measures to ensure we can do this in a safe environment. In the unfortunate event of a cancellation, all tickets will be refunded or rolled over to next year’s festival.

“More updates will be released in the coming weeks as the situation develops. Until then we hope everyone is well and staying safe in these difficult times. Please keep an eye on Olliefest social media and this website for more information, as and when it becomes available.”
