Local family celebrates birth of healthy triplets
Back in May Ross-on-Line reported the news that one local family were expecting triplets and we are delighted to confirm that the babies arrived safely.
Katie and Owen Furnell, who met in Year 7 at John Kyrle High School, already have a 4 year-old daughter and were completely shocked to find out earlier this year that they were expecting triplets.
The babies were born on July 8th by cesarean. Freya was born first at 12.15am, followed by Rowan at 12.17am, and finally Primrose at 12.20am. Despite Rowan and Primrose needing a little bit of oxygen they were all healthy and well.
All three babies spent around a week in NICU for monitoring and were then transferred to Hereford Hospital, where they stayed in the special care unit for a week. On Sunday 24th July they were finally allowed to be brought home.
Katie told Ross-on-line: “The babies have all been putting on weight well and are being really well behaved. Myself and Owen are both feeling really happy and of course a little bit tired, but we keep looking at them not believing it is real. To have happy healthy children is all you can ask for.”
