Ross Juniors watch Lionesses make history
It has not fully sunk in yet for Ross Juniors that the England women’s team won the Euros on Sunday, with many of them lucky enough to be at Wembley Stadium to watch the historic moment in person.
110 members of Ross Juniors were lucky to have tickets for the final which they purchased 12 months ago. At the time they were hoping England would be there, but once the team got past Sweden in the semi final, it was a reality.
The coaches left at 9:15am and they made good time in getting to Barnet for some football pre-Wembley. The u10 girls alongside the u14/15 showcased their skills in competitive matches. The standout match though was the u12’s playing Stotfold in a close game that went to sudden death penalties with their great opponents coming out on top.
Then it was onto Wembley where they met with other club members who had tickets and Tottenham’s, Kerys Harrop.
