Abi Agami, a Year 9 student at John Kyrle High School, performed with distinction on the national stage during the recent British Schools Pistol Championships.
She earned the bronze medal in the 10m, one-handed discipline of the Individual Intermediate competition. Abi was the only competitor with a podium finish to represent a state school.
Headteacher, Mr Griffiths, said: “I am very impressed with Abi. She had explained to me the skills needed to excel at this sport. In addition to great technical competence, she has to display powers of concentration and focus. The school is as proud of Abi as her parents.”
