Walford Timber’s Wholesale and Logistics Manager, David Lane, is participating in a 100 kilometre ultra-marathon called the Lake District Challenge this weekend to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

David will be running 62 miles across the Lake District, which will be a huge challenge as he has only been running for a short time.

David said: “I have never ran for charity so now i have set myself a huge task in the hopes i can raise some money for a truly worthwhile cause.

“Prostate Cancer effects over 47000 people in the UK every year, so if i can help by pushing myself to the limits then that is what i’m going to do.”

He has already smashed his £600 target, however if you would like to donate please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/David-Lane12?utm_campaign=lc_frp_share_transaction_fundraiser_page_donation_received_-_nth_donation&utm_content=c406631b-72e7-400b-b217-adb106a45178&utm_medium=email&utm_source=postoffice&utm_term=1622830722803
