Great game for new U12’s team

Ross Juniors U12 Girls played their first pre-season friendly on Sunday at home to Belmont. This new team has come together with a mix of last years U10 Juniors and U12 Colts, so many of the girls playing together for the first time and half of the team playing their first 9V9 game.

Both teams looked to play a passing style of football, playing out from the back and all looking comfortable on the ball.

Ross started slow with the expected first game nerves, but soon settled into the game and put together some nice build up play.

Belmont looked to hit Ross with some quick counter attacking football but Ross looked solid at the back and in control.

Once Ross went ahead they relaxed into the game and went on to score more without conceding.

The team coaches were really pleased with all of the girls who adapted well to new positions they were asked to play.
