Remember the signpost from Biblins Bridge that washed up in Portishead after the flooding back in February?

Well the sign is now back at the Biblins Campsite thanks to Chris and Alex from Turn the Tide Portishead. The sign has been on quite the adventure, after travelling around 40 miles during the floods and ending up in Portishead, the sign then disappeared. After an appeal on social media the sign was spotted in a garden of a couple who wanted to keep it safe from being chopped up for firewood. Back in the hands of the Turn the Tide team they were keen to get it back home.

They delivered the sign yesterday morning, Saturday 18th July, and it is hoped the sign will be back in place very soon.

A spokesperson for Turn the Tide Portishead said: “The power of social media, and a happy ending for the sign post that has travelled more than most of us this year! Here are some pictures of its journey. Well done to all involved!”
