Donations for the pets of Ukraine that were dropped off at Creature Comforts in Ross-on-Wye, as well as Paws Pet Supplies in Monmouth and Chepstow Pet Supplies in Chepstow, are now on their way to Poland along with other essential supplies.

The lorry will arrive on Monday for the Red Cross to distribute.

Creature Comforts are still collecting donations for Ukrainian pets, as well as their other two stores in Monmouth and Chepstow.

Donations will then be taken to the Wyesham Christian fellowship ready for it to go on to Newport and then on to Poland and the Ukraine.

They are asking for donations of pet supplies, especially wet and dry dog and cat food, pet bedding and accessories (although any kind of pet supplies will be helpful).

They can also take payments over the phone and put a package together for you or if you wish to donate online for staff to put together a mystery box use the following link: https://nrgpetsupplies.myshopify.com/products/pet-mystery-box-ukraine-donation
