Stagecoach announce changes to bus services
Stagecoach have announced changes to bus services in the area from 27th February 2022.
32/132 – Ross-on-Wye/Ledbury to Newent & Gloucester
Stagecoach said in a recent press release that “The Covid pandemic has significantly reduced the number of people using these routes, with buses north and west of Newent running at a loss. As a result, we’ll no longer be running between Newent and Ledbury, and continuing only a school and shopper link between Newent and Ross-on-Wye. Buses between Newent and Gloucester will still run hourly as 32, with a slightly revised timetable.”
33 – Hereford & Ross-on-Wye to Gloucester
The 0545 bus from Ross-on-Wye to Gloucester will no longer run, whilst the next bus at 0715 will run slightly earlier and continue through Gloucester to St Peter’s School (returning at 1545). A new 0545 bus will run from Gloucester to Ross-on-Wye, whilst the last bus from Hereford will extend beyond Ross-on-Wye to Gloucester. Most other journeys are re-timed to “help improve punctuality.” Stagecoach put this change down to “to poor patronage.”
35 – Ross-on-Wye to Coleford & Monmouth
Most buses on this service will run via Station Road and Tufthorn Avenue in Coalway and Milkwall, not Coalway Road. The first morning bus towards Monmouth will start at Ruardean, not Ross-on-Wye, whilst the 1850 from Monmouth will run only as far as Milkwall.
24 – Chepstow to Cinderford & Gloucester
The morning Dene Magna School bus will now run as the 24, previously 824. The first bus from Blakeney & Cinderford to Gloucester will run 10 minutes earlier; the 1720 from Gloucester will run 20 minutes later and as far as Cinderford only; the 1755 from Cinderford to Gloucester will run 40 minutes later at 1835.
