Ross Rowing Club have announced that they have been awarded a Sport England grant of £75,000.

The grant will go towards the clubhouse renovation and refurbishment, including new roof/skylights, and other planned projects, such as extending the car park, installing mains drainage, and replacing the concrete steps.

A spokesperson said: “The award is a much needed boost to the club, after our income has been hit by floods and Covid-19, and it will enable us to bounce back when the work is completed, to a fantastic refurbished clubhouse, and much improved facilities.

“The award is conditional to us following the stipulations set by Sport England, and it will be monitored until completion, when we will have an opening ceremony, with representatives from Sport England and the National Lottery to celebrate with us.”
