Ross-on-Wye Pancake Races to return
The Ross-on-Wye Pancake Races are back this year after a year off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ross Lions and Rotary Clubs took over the organising of the event in 2020, and held their first one in February of that year just a short time before the world as we knew it changed and lockdown came into force.
This year the event is back and will be held on Sunday 27th February in Ross town centre from 12 noon. Registration opens at 11am.
There will be races for little ones, bigger ones and teams of 4. There will be prizes for fancy dress, thanks to Gelatis and The Royal Hotel. And a Grand Pancake Trophy will be presented to the winning team.
The deputy Mayor of Ross will open the races and will be presenting the certificates and prizes.
The races take place in Broad Street with a road closure in place from the top of Broad Street to the junction of New Street that morning until the event ends in the afternoon.
Entry forms are available in advance from Cafe Eleganza, Gelatis, the Lions Shop and the Tourist Information Centres. Or you can enter on the day!
