Ross-on-Wye family take over The Mill Race
After over a year of closure The Mill Race will finally reopen its doors tomorrow, Friday 4th December.
The pub lease has been taken on by Ross-on-Wye family, Ashley Kibble and Gosia Knights, along with daughter Sofia (also known as head boss).
Ashley and Gosia have a number of years experience in the pub and restaurant trade, but have dreamed of running their own pub for a long time, and finally the opportunity arose for them this year.
Ashley is the head chef, and has ensured the new delicious menu caters for every taste with fresh and wholesome meals. The addition of the coal fired chargrill will bring a tasty barbecue indoors, expect fresh homemade pizzas from the pizza oven, weekly specials and a young persons menu. There really is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The couple were keen to use the finest local produce to give The Mill Race a real local feel. Some of those suppliers include Ben Dean at the Loughpool Bakery, James Gourmet Coffee, Castle Brook Vineyard, Westons Cider, Wye Valley Brewery, Pengethley Farm Shop, Evans of Monmouth, Vin Sullivans, Country Flavours and Hill Billy Gin, to name but a few!
The pub has a real family and welcoming feel, and it is great to see a pub being taken on in what has been turbulent year for the trade.
The Mill Race will be open Tuesday – Saturday 10am-11pm and Sunday 12 noon – 4pm. Dog and walker friendly. The full menu can be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/107026691207409/posts/145878653988879/?d=n
Ashley and Gosia look forward to welcoming customers old and new.
