There was a Service of Remembrance for the VJ Day 75th Anniversary this morning at St Mary’s Church, Ross-on-Wye.
The commemoration began with Rev’d Sean Semple playing Battle’s O’er on the pipes, following this a short service took place on the Prospect with a 2 minutes silence. The Town Crier then gave a ‘Cry for Peace’ from the top of the Church tower, followed by a single church bell ringing 75 times to mark the anniversary.
