A favourite Ross-on-Wye tradition, The Christmas Carnival, will sadly not take place this year due to the latest coronavirus restrictions announced by the Prime Minister.
A spokesperson told Ross-on-line: “In view of the latest restrictions the Ross Christmas Carnival Committee has taken the sad but inevitable decision that the event must be cancelled this year. The first time in over 50 years.
“We felt that it was much too risky for Santa to be mixing with us and making him too ill to carry out his duties around the world on Christmas Eve. We look forward to Christmas 2021 and returning to normal and inviting Santa back to town.”
