Ross Christmas Fayre and Light Switch on cancelled due to coronavirus pandemic

The Ross-on-Wye Christmas Fayre and Light Switch On has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Christmas Fayre Committee made the announcement this evening on their Facebook page stating that they feel the cancellation “would be the best for the safety of Ross, visitors, residents and traders” and that it would be difficult to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines. The popular event attracts hundreds of people throughout the day.
They said: “We have decided to put the lights and trees up 2 weeks earlier than normal, with a very low key switch on. We will also look at number of items that we could possible do throughout the town during the Christmas months that we hope will create a warm and sparkly feel while you shop local for all your Christmas needs.”
