Ross and District Branch of Royal British Legion celebrate 100 years

The Ross-on-Wye and District Branch of the Royal British Legion are celebrating their 100th anniversary, and this morning, Wednesday 7th July, a flag raising took place to celebrate this special occasion.

Those present were Branch Padr’e Rector Sean Semple, Chairman Graham Aplin, Vice Chair, Mr Ian Hedges, Standard Bearer Mr Derek Griffiths, Mr Patrick Gale Treasurer, Mr Des Auld Bugler, branch committee and members. Also present were Sarah Robson Town Clerk, deputising for the Ross Mayor and Helen Holmes from Ross Town Council.

After the flag raising the celebratory cake was cut and all who were present were able to share in the celebrations for this special centenary.
