West Mercia Police are appealing for information after a number of reports of theft from motor vehicles have been reported in and around the area of Ross-on-Wye.

Thefts have occurred normally during the hours of darkness, however recently vehicles have been targeted during daylight hours.

Police are also reminding people to remove all valuable items from their vehicles before leaving it unattended and to ensure the vehicle is locked.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to these thefts.

They are also encouraging the community to call them on 101 if they see anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle.

If you have information about this or any other suspected crime, please let them know using the online ‘Tell Us About’ form on their website http://www.westmercia.police.uk

If you aren’t comfortable contacting them directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org

If you ever feel at risk, or a crime is in progress, please always dial 999.
