Three Herefordshire students have been shining for Wales on the national stage in the sport of lacrosse.
Zoë Cripwell, from Herefordshire, Hereford-based Mille Ryan and Renn Ramsey, who lives near Ross-on-Wye, played for Wales in the Home Internationals.
All three are students at Monmouth School for Girls and were joined by a fourth student, Freya Taylor, who lives in the Wye Valley, for the annual competition in Nottingham.
Zoë and Freya starred for Wales Under-21s, while Mille and Renn excelled for Wales Under-18s.
All four students are in Year 11 at Monmouth School for Girls and had worked hard in training camps since last summer.
They enjoyed their respective competitions and were proud to receive their Welsh caps.
Meanwhile, Zoë, 16, has now been selected by Wales for the Under-21 European Lacrosse Championships in Prague this summer.
Zoë will be one of the youngest players in the Wales team, while Freya, also 16, has been named as a reserve for the competition that takes place in the Czech Republic in July. Zoë and Freya are delighted to have gained selection for this prestigious event.
It rounds off another great season of lacrosse, which saw Monmouth School for Girls’ 1st team secure second place in Division One at the National Schools Championships in Aldershot.
