Nick & Emily Guy, their two girls and labradors, live just outside Ross on Wye and run their camera trap business from their Herefordshire base.

After 20 years working as a professional cameraman on global wildlife documentaries for the BBC, Netflix, Apple TV+ and Discovery, Nick has filled a gap in the camera trap market with a new product called the Cambush Cube.

For those of us not in the know, a camera trap is the piece of equipment that captures wildlife in their quiet, special and unique moments that we would otherwise never see.

Traditionally a camera trap for a big production like Planet Earth II or Living Earth would be bulky, expensive and complex to set up. Well not any more. Cambush has built a camera trap that weighs less than a kilo and is just 5” cubed. it’s built around the amazing Sony RX0ii with Zeiss optics, can shoot 4K video, 15.3 megapixel stills and costs the same as a mid-range kayak or mountain bike. The quality of the film is exceptional and can be used on the big screen. Even better, it is made locally by another family business, Studio 29| Factory 31, also based in Ross on Wye and is simple to use in the garden, on hikes, trips and travels as well as by the film production companies.

In the last few months, the new Cubes have been heading from the hills of Herefordshire to all four corners of the globe and are already in action capturing wild animals & birds in Australia, California, Austria, Mexico, Spain, the UK and the USA.

The Cube is a new, lightweight, easy to set up, super compact camera trap that offers everything a professional cameraman needs at a price the keen enthusiast can afford. To find out more you can visit www.cambush.co.uk
