New eco-friendly charging point for electric cars installed

A new eco-friendly charging point for electric cars has been installed at Edde Cross Street car park in Ross-on-Wye.

The rapid charging point, capable of an 80% charge in 20 minutes, will be soon be operational.

This means the town now has two Herefordshire Council charging points, the other is based at Red Meadow car park.

Drivers of electric or hybrid vehicles that need to plug in and charge can get a free 30 minute parking ticket to display in their vehicle at council-owned, off-street car parks.
