Morrisons Ross-on-Wye have presented 11-year-old, Millie Meredith, with their Little Sunshine Award after her incredible support of Ross Community Larder.

Millie was keen to help where she could, and last year she sold apples in her village and used the proceeds to buy a trolley full of groceries for the food bank. She also used money gifted to her from family. For Christmas, instead of sending cards, Millie’s family gave money towards buying more items for the food bank.

Naomi Haggett, Community Champion for the Ross store, told Ross-on-line: “Millie is a very special girl and there was never another choice for me for the winner.”

The Little Sunshine Award was launched as part of the supermarket’s recent ‘hope’ campaign, and to recognise people who have gone above and beyond in their community throughout the pandemic.
