Mayor of Ross issues statement regarding death of Prince Philip

The Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Cllr Daniel Lister, has issued a statement regarding the death of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

He said: “The councillors and staff of Ross Town Council are deeply saddened by the death of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. Our thoughts are with her Majesty the Queen and all the members of the royal family at this sad time.

“As a mark of respect, we have lowered the flag at the Market House and at St Mary’s Church and we will release information shortly about arrangements to sign the books of condolence.”
