A man in his 30s was injured after falling 20 feet from a ladder following a partial collapse of a wall.

The incident happened on the B4234 near to Kerne Bridge. Emergency services attended the scene to treat the patient. The road is opened under traffic light control following another landslip that happened a few days previously.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Ross-on-line: “A crew from Ross-on-Wye Fire Station was called at 10:44 on 21st February to Walford where a wall had partially collapsed into the roadway.

“A man in his 30s, who had fallen around 20 feet from a ladder, was released before the fire service’s arrival and was treated by paramedics.

“There was rock and debris on one lane of the main road inside an area controlled by traffic lights.”
