Ross-on-Wye fire crews have been supporting the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service today at a large fire in Monmouth.

The fire, which involved the Peacocks store on Monnow Street, started around 9am.

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called at 9:22 to offer support. Crews from Ross-on-Wye, Ewyas Harold and Fownhope attended the incident, in addition to the aerial ladder platform from Hereford.

This afternoon the incident remains ongoing although attendance is being scaled back.
