The much-loved Ross business, Audrey’s Fish Bar, based in Tudorville, has been put on the market after the owners announced their intended retirement.

The business was established in 1968 by Ken and Audrey Riches. In 1993 daughter, Sharon, took over the business with her husband Graham.

Audrey’s has been a community hub for many years, not only through their fantastic fish and chips, and their famous pickled onions and pickled eggs, but they have also raised over £30,000 for charity over the years.

For now it is business as usual at Audrey’s Fish Bar, with the owners promising  to keep everyone updated.

Following the news, Sharon and Graham posted this statement on their Facebook page: “Some of you may have heard though the jungle drums of Ross that Audrey’s is on the market.

“We wanted to be the ones to tell you that this is true, as of today.

“Much like any move from a family home, it has been a difficult decision but after running the business for 27 years, combined with Audrey and Ken, 53 years, we feel it’s time for a quieter life. We hope you understand.

“Business as usual, we will of course keep you update with any news.

“Thanks, Sharon and Graham.”
