Fire crews attended an incident involving the waste and recycling lorry this morning, Thursday 28th April.
Three Crosses Road was blocked for a period of time as emergency services dealt with the incident. Sources told Ross-on-line that it was due to a power tool battery being disposed of in a household waste bin which was then transferred into the lorry and then exploded.
Once the incident was dealt with the bin lorry was able to continue with the collections of the day.
