Emergency road closure on Walford Road
An emergency road closure has been put in place on the B4234 between Kerne Bridge and Walford Timber due to the existing rock slope showing signs of on-going degradation.
Balfour Beatty said a full road closure has been put in place to prevent risk to the public.
Ross-on-line spoke with Balfour Beatty who said they could not give an exact timescale for the closure but at the moment they are looking at approximately 11 days.
The emergency road closure is in addition to the overnight closure currently in place for resurfacing works. The road is closed until 7th March from 8pm-6am from St Michael’s Church to the Hazelhurst Nursing Home turning.
Balfour Beatty are aware that some drivers are moving the road closure signs and cones and are looking into this.
