Council keen to engage with bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants
Herefordshire Council have contacted Ross Town Council, as well as all other Parish and Town Councils, regarding the possible restricted opening of local bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants, and the help that the Council are offering.
The letter states: “As you will be aware, the government may allow bars, pubs, cafes & restaurants to re-open in the near future, potentially on Saturday 4th July. However, there is still some debate as to when this will actually be, what social distancing measurements will be adopted and in what form.
“Whatever the case, it is almost certain that there will be a requirment to maintain some form of social distancing (currently set at 2 metres separation), although there is speculation that this may be reduced before the 4th July.”
The letter states that the County Council are keen to engage with bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants on the potential reopening. It says: “Herefordshire Council’s officers and the police are keen to engage with premises to discuss plans for reopening and would be available to visit your premises and offer free technical advice as to how this could be achieved.”
If you are one of those businesses this will affect please see the letter below for full details.
