Bridstow artist and potter to raise funds for Forest Food Bank
Kathy Priddis is a potter and painter living and working in Bridstow and, like other artists and makers, she opens her studio to the public several times a year. For two weekends prior to Christmas Kathy donates 100% of her profits to local charities. For the past six years, with the public’s support, she has raised nearly £1,000 a year.
This time Kathy is raising funds for the Forest Food bank, and is hoping to match, or even exceed, last year’s figure.
The studio will be open Friday 11th-13th December 10am-4pm, with mulled wine and mice pies. Open Studio at Round Oak Cottage, Hoarwithy Road, Bridstow HR9 6QJ
Social distancing and sanitising zones. Cash or card payments
About The Forest Food bank – The Forest Food bank distribution centre in Coleford was launched in 2013 by the mayor of Coleford, followed in the same year by two further distribution centres, at Cinderford and Lydney. This project was founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards alleviating hunger in our local area. In 2020 they faced additional demands owing to Covid and this past year alone they have fed 3,242 families.
