Bridge inspection and rock maintenance work to close Wilton Road

Road closures will be in place on Wilton Road next week due to rock maintenance work and an inspection of Wilton Bridge.
From Monday 22nd March 2021 to (and including) Friday 26th March 2021 the road will be closed between Wilton Bridge and Wye Street junction. Wilton Road car park will be open (accessible from Wilton Road roundabout). The only access to Wye Street will be from the town centre direction.
The road will be closed from 9am on 22nd March and will not re-open until 5pm on 24th March.
This is to allow the inspection of Wilton Bridge with an underbridge unit.
From Wednesday 24th March 2021 to (and including) Friday 26th March 2021, Wilton Road will be closed from the Wye Street junction to St Mary’s Street.
The road will be closed from 9am hours on 24th March and will not re-open until 5pm hours on 26th March. This is to allow investigation and inspection of the rock face above Wilton Road, and the removal of vegetation and loose debris.
Two footpaths will also be closed whilst these works take place:-
