Appeal for help to find a building to establish a Men’s Shed in Whitchurch
Residents in Whitchurch would like to set up a Men’s Shed/Repair Café but are looking for a building close to the village centre.
Cllr Yolande Watson, Herefordshire Councillor for Kerne Bridge ward, explained: “The Parish Council and St. Dubricius Church have set up a successful Talk Community Hub that has an active Good Neighbours Scheme, a Knit and Natter Group and a Sticky Fingers Mothers and Toddlers Group, but Cllr Sue Morris and an enthusiastic group of volunteers have been unsuccessful in finding a suitable building in Whitchurch for men to establish a workshop where they can be together and fix things whilst chatting to each other”.
If you have an empty building in/close to Whitchurch that could be transformed into a Men’s Shed – please contact Keith Shilston, the Clerk of Whitchurch & Ganarew Parish on clerk@wagpc.org.uk
For more details about the Talk Community Hub and the activities offered go to: https://www.wagpc.org.uk/wagpc-23-CommunityHub.html
The Good Neighbours Scheme coffee morning is from 10.30 – 12 noon on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the Memorial Hall.
The Sticky Little Fingers Mothers and Toddlers Group is held at Whitchurch School on Tuesday mornings.
