Every year the Ross-on-Wye & District Branch of the Royal British Legion pay their respects to the Chelsea Pensioners and the Falklands and Korean war veterans by conducting a service at the memorials at St Mary’s Church.
Due to the lockdown this year it was done a day earlier than usual and was recorded yesterday by St Mary’s Church so people can watch the service in the safety of their own homes.

Due to lockdown restrictions the usual Remembrance service which takes place on Sunday is unable to go ahead this year. However, everyone felt it was extremely important to still mark the day. Branch members and the St Mary’s clergy also spent the day yesterday recording footage to be part of a Remembrance Service which will be broadcast on Sunday via our Facebook, the St Mary’s Church Facebook page and The Ross & District Branch of the RBL page. The broadcast will start at approximately 11am.
