A Christmas message from MP Jesse Norman
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all Ross on-Line readers!
These are difficult times indeed, all the more because they come at the end of such a challenging year. If anything could remind us of the fragility of human life, and of the importance of friends and family, it is this Christmas, when we would normally rejoice together.
But even if this Christmas is filled with video calls and virtual dinners and not the real thing, perhaps more than ever it is also a moment to show our friendship and love for others, and to give thanks to them for their help and support throughout the past year.
Our public services have worked harder than ever in 2020, and I pay tribute to them: to the key workers, to the emergency services, to the men and women who keep us safe here and around the world, and to those who will be working through the holiday period, both in Ross and across the county.
But let us also look forward with hope and ambition to the New Year. I will continue to do my utmost to keep your values of hard work, kindness and common sense alive in Parliament, and to represent our communities at the highest level with energy, persistence and determination.
And I wish you all a wonderful 2021.
Jesse
