Police appeal following possible baseball bat attack

A man in his 20s suffered a head injury after being assaulted in Ross-on-Wye.

West Mercia Police were called to Tanyard Lane, Ross-on-Wye on Friday 17th July to reports that a man had been assaulted.

The man was walking, at around 1am, in the direction of Ledbury Road when someone struck him with what was believed to be a baseball bat. He suffered an injury to his head and was taken to hospital.

Chief Inspector Edd Williams said: “A number of enquiries are currently taking place and we would ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything to please come forward.

“Anyone with information with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is asked to contact us.”
