This year the Ross-on-Wye Town Council Mayor, Cllr John Winder, held a competition for anyone under the age of 16 to design his Christmas card.

The Council was inundated with wonderful entries, and the Mayor was extremely impressed with the quality and imagination of the designs.

After much deliberation the Mayor selected the beautiful design by Madden Yip from John Kyrle High School. The design captured the Christmas spirit, as well as highlighting the town.

The Mayor met Madden to congratulate him and present him with a voucher to spend at Tudor Sweets.

Second place, Paige Nevin, and third place, Ben Powell, also received a voucher.

The cards will soon be available to purchase from the Town Council offices at the Corn Exchange, High Street, for £5 for a pack of 5, with all profits going to the Mayor’s charity, Enviroability. To reserve a pack of the Mayor’s Christmas Cards email admin@rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk
