Labels Shopping in Ross-on-Wye are excited to be hosting a family fun day in aid of Midlands air Ambulance this month; as part of their ongoing support of the charity.

The event will take place on Saturday 22nd October, and will see the air ambulance pod for the public to take a look around and understand the lifesaving work the charity do. Children will be able to climb inside, look around and meet the just some of the charity heroes. If that’s not enough, there will be free craft activities and screenings of real rescues in The Gateway Cinema; plus, you can meet the charity mascot for a photo!

Of course, in addition to all of the family fun, there will be space selling the charity merchandise – including of course their famous charity Christmas cards. Plus the usual great shopping with over 60 brands and when you’re in need of a break stop for lunch with M&J at Labels

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) operates and funds three air ambulances covering six Midlands counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. Each year it costs in excess of £10 million to maintain the three aircraft and the provision of a lifesaving service. Each air ambulance mission costs an average of £2,950. Each critical care car or cardiac car mission costs £288 on average. The charity does not receive funding from the Government or National Lottery for its daily missions so relies entirely on the support and generosity of local people and businesses.

This event is one of many planned across the next 12 months and Labels is hopeful to work alongside the community to support the vital work of the Midlands Air Ambulance.
