Update on cat found caught in illegal gin trap

Vine Tree Vets have issued an update on the cat found in the illegal gin trap yesterday in Ross.

They said: “We would like to update you on the progress of the injured stray cat that was brought into us last night having been caught in a trap.

“We are pleased to say he is doing very well, he is a very lucky boy.

“He is now under the care of  ‘Cats Protection’. We know there have been a number of people wanting to donate towards his treatment so please contact the Forest of Dean branch of Cats Protection if you would like to help.”

The vets also said they are hopeful his paw will be saved.
