Builders merchant Travis Perkins has announced it is to axe 165 branches with the loss of 2,500 jobs due to the impact of COVID-19.

It has been announced that the Ross branch will close its doors on Friday 19th June 2020.

In an email sent to customers they said: “This decision was not taken lightly and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will look to redeploy displaced colleagues as much as possible, and support those that are affected.”

The email also stated that trade accounts will stay open and can be used at other branches and any existing orders will be fulfilled.
