Tough opening match for U11 Juniors
Ross U11 Juniors started the season with a tough opener at home to Pegasus on Saturday 26th September.
Ross started really slow and made far too many individual errors, so they soon found themselves behind to the physical well drilled Pegasus side. Ross started to get hold of the ball more and created a few chances but were glad to get the half over with and regroup.
Ross came out for the 2nd half how they should have started the game, with more energy and better pressing, not allowing Pegasus to play their free flowing style, and within 2 minutes had scored with fine work from Harry and Ollie on the right wing then a great finish from Deividas from an acute angle.
Spud and Andy were impressed with how the boys didn’t lie down and put up a better display in the 2nd half, but still below their usual performance. Pegasus scored several more goals, but if Ross were a bit more clinical in front of goal then it could of been closer! Tough opener but the boys will bounce back.
