Second lockdown announced
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a month-long lockdown for England which will come into force on Thursday.
The measures, which will run from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December, will see the closure of pubs, restaurants, leisure, entertainment and non-essential shops.
Pubs, bars and restaurants will still be able to offer takeaway and delivery services.
People in England will only be allowed to leave their homes for specific reasons, such as education, work or food shopping. Different households will be banned from mixing, although support bubbles and childcare bubbles will remain, and children will still be able to move between homes if their parents are separated.
