Ross Town Council approve 2% increase in council tax precept

At the Full Council meeting this evening, Monday 14th February, Ross-on-Wye Town Councillors voted to increase the parish council tax precept by 2% for 2022/23.
The 2% increase follows a year where the councillors took the decision not to increase the council tax to help residents through the pandemic.
Ross-on-line understands that three Councillors voted against the increase.
The decision follows the approved Herefordshire Council increase of 2.99% last week.
The final setting of Council Tax, which will include the parish precept, Police and Crime Commissioner and Hereford & Worcester Fire Authority charges will take place on 4th March.
More details to follow.
