Ross-on-Wye Mayor launches Christmas card design competition
Each year it is customary for the Mayor to send out Christmas cards to neighbouring towns, local groups, friends and family.
This year the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Councillor Daniel Lister, would like to give the young people of Ross-on-Wye the opportunity to design the Christmas card.
The categories are as follows:
5yrs – 7yrs
8yrs – 10yrs
11yrs – 13yrs
14yrs – 16yrs
17yrs – 19yrs
Please state clearly on your entry which category you are entering.
There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category, with 1st place getting their winning design on the card, as well as a pack of the winning design to send to their friends and family. 2nd and 3rd places will receive a pack of the winning cards, and a small winners token from the Mayor, made by local trader, Crossfield Creations. All short-listed entries will be shared on social media for all to see. The closing date for entries is 25th October 2020.
The Christmas cards will also be available for sale during November and December in packs of 5 at £5 per pack or £9 for two packs. All profits will go to the Mayor’s charity which is raising money for Youth Services within Ross. You can pre order these by emailing admin@rosstc-herefordshire.gov.uk, please note there will be limited numbers available.
