Ross-on-Wye Fire Station take part in Movember
Crews at Ross-on-Wye Fire Station are taking part in Movember to help raise awareness of men’s mental health.
Movember is the leading global charity changing the face of men’s health. They exist to stop men dying too young by tackling some of the most complex health issues facing men today – mental health, suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
They invest in country- and culture – specific health projects and collaborate on game-changing solutions to address the men’s health crisis. Uniting the best researchers and sharpest minds, each groundbreaking project exists to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives.
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of the health issues facing men.
Funds raised during Movember will also go towards new and innovative evidence-based programs and resources tailored to Emergency Service workers.
Research has shown that in the UK Emergency Services 1 in 4 men have contemplated suicide due to stress and strained mental health.
Crews at Ross-on-Wye Fire Station have their upper lips at the ready to help spread awareness of the health issues affecting men and to raise funds towards Movember projects.

Ross-on-line will be visiting the station at the end of the month to help judge the best moustache!
