Motorcycle Ride of Respect arrives in Ross-on-Wye
The Welsh Guards 40th Anniversary Ride of Respect visited Ross-on-Wye this afternoon, Tuesday 21st June, to lay a wreath at the Falklands Memorial Bench near the Market House.
Held over four days (June 21-24) the motorcycle Ride of Respect is being held to remember and honour The Welsh Guards and attached Arms who sadly lost their lives 40 years ago during the Falklands Conflict in 1982.
The Memorial Bench in Ross-on-Wye is where Gdsm Gareth Griffiths 22 and Gdsm Colin Parsons are remembered.
This event has been organised by Maldwyn Jones, Neil Rice, Geraint Hughes and his wife Jan who will be riding a total distance of approximately 650 miles. They started this morning, Tuesday 21st June at Combermere Barracks, Windsor. They will be finishing at the Welsh Guards Memorial in Wrexham on the afternoon of Friday 24thJune 2022.
