Change to opening times at Boots in Ross-on-Wye
Boots in Ross-on-Wye will be changing their opening hours from Monday 28th February due to a change in licensing by their head office.
Stacey Lewry, Store Manager, said in a post on Facebook: “Head office has changed our licensing and we will now be what is called partially registered. This means our shop for retail purchases can open without a pharmacist on site.
“Our core opening hours for retail purchases remains 8:30-17:30 Monday-Saturday and 10:00-16:00 on Sundays.
“Our pharmacy hours are changing to opening slightly later each morning, our lunchtime closure is moving to 1pm-2pm and we will be closing earlier on Saturdays.
“During pharmacy closure periods, we will dim the lights, have barriers in place, and blinds across medication we cannot sell.”
The new pharmacy opening times will be as follows:
Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 5.30pm
Saturday 9:30am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Sunday 10am – 4pm
This means outside of these pharmacy operating hours, patients will not be able to:
•Pick up/drop off prescriptions
•Buy over-the-counter pharmacy medication from behind the healthcare counter
•Seek advice from our pharmacist
•Access pharmacy services
Stacey continued: “Our website and the NHS have been notified of these changes. We have displayed the new opening hours on our doors, we have posters by the pharmacy, and we have tried to tell as many patients as we can but I appreciate we may not reach everyone.
“If anyone has any questions, please pop in and speak to me or one of my pharmacy team.”
