The Ross-on-Wye Tourism Association are keen to get views on a dog friendly town.

A spokesperson told Ross-on-Line: “We know a lot of people like to take their dogs on holiday with them and we know a lot of people come on holiday to this area with their dogs, so it makes perfect sense to make Ross as welcoming as possible for them and local people.

“We would like to encourage businesses that admit pets to their premises, or part of their premises, to display a small window sticker logo. If you are a business would you be willing to display a sticker? As a dog owner would you find this useful?

“We are also thinking of a small downloadable leaflet that lists the businesses and gives routes for good dog walks around Ross. It may be possible to produce a printed form of the leaflet in the future too. We are keen to get views on this.

“On our website www.visitrossonwye.com you will find, under the blog tab, an article that lists some of the businesses that are friendly to dogs. We are sure there are more.

“With local knowledge, are their places in Ross you like to take your dog to when you are out for a coffee or something to eat? Do you have a favourite walk?

“We’d love to hear people’s experiences so we can make recommendations to visitors. Please tag #DogFriendlyRossonWye on your social media posts about your four-legged friends.”
